As part of the 90th anniversary celebration of Akashvani, Akashvani Ranchi presented a memorable classical concert by the renowned sitar-sarod duo, Kedia Bandhu. The artistes performed Raga Chandranandan, a rare and deeply meditative raga created by Ali Akbar Khan. As disciples of both Ustad Ali Akbar Khan and Annapurna Devi, the Kedia Bandhu brought remarkable depth, sensitivity, and aesthetic refinement to their presentation.
As a former member of this station, I felt deeply proud to witness such a meaningful and artistically enriching concert. On the occasion of Annapurna Devi's birth centenary, it would be wonderful if Akashvani Ranchi could also present a conversation with Kedia Bandhu reflecting on their association with the legendary guru. Such an initiative, shared through social media platforms, would certainly reach and inspire music lovers across the world.
I warmly congratulate the entire team of Akashvani Ranchi for organising a concert of such dignity and cultural significance, one that truly enhances the station's artistic stature.
